Biography
I am a textile artist, designer and maker specialising in producing richly textured textile and mixed media artworks. Such works are suitable for the individual, private homes, exhibitions, public spaces and corporate environments. My work can be enjoyed as original artworks, items of clothing ,bags, jewellery, furnishings, wall-panels and 3D sculptural pieces. I am passionate about stitch and the world of textile art, with this I can enjoy very traditional and contemporary work and use it for inspiration in my work. I enjoy working with my hands in all creative techniques, hand sewing, machine sewing, felting, printing, batik, painting of all types and mixed media work. I enjoy experimenting with all media and mediums.
I am inspired by the immediate world around me and I express this through the combination and manipulation of media, stitching and dyeing of fabrics. A lot of my work represents my emotional response to the natural world around me. I investigate themes of growth, strength and energy to provide inspiration for a range of pieces which use creative techniques including stitch and fabric manipulation.
I live and work from a home based studio in Cumbria. I have exhibited in many venues throughout the UK and abroad.

Visitors are welcome to come to my studio to meet me and view my work. You are welcome to browse, commission, arrange exhibitions, discuss possible workshops or just to chat. There is always time for a brew and a chat. All pieces of art work are individually priced as all items are handcrafted and bespoke orders.
